LettersWe use this app to break down and look at the way words are spelled. We use different colors for vowels and consonants. A great way to practice our words of the week, that helps us to know when they "look right". To find this app in the App Store, it's easiest to search for "d-studio letters".

As well as other Mc-Graw Hill apps!

Addition Top-ItThis is from McGraw-Hill, which is the maker of our math curriculum, "Everyday Mathematics". They offer a number of great games that directly align with our curriculum. We will also use their apps called "Fractions" and "Beat the Computer". WARNING! These apps may cost money. Every once in awhile (maybe twice a year) they do make them free. If you are interesting in knowing when they are free, let me know and I will try to help keep an eye out for when they are free, to let you know.

GeoboardInitially we will use this app to explore shapes, and recognize their attributes. Later in the year we will also use this to practice grouping sets, creating arrays, as well as finding the area and perimeter of shapes. Many great conversations can be had around what they create, and a great way to challenge your child with problems to solve.
